The Familiy Tenant Council is is hosting summer community events. The purpose is to promote unity in the communities while improving the quality of life for our children.
This informative session will provide certified instruction in basic self defense for women, while offering risk reduction strategies. If your daughter is planning to leave for college this fall, you may want to consider the following:
Female college freshman are at the highest risk for sexual assault between the first day of school and Thanksgiving break.
According to the National Institute of Justice, “College campuses host large concentrations of young women who are at greater risk for rape and other forms of sexual assault than women in the general population or in a comparable age group”
