By giving just 6 hours a month or 72 hours per year, you can assist someone in crisis by  offering a compassionate ear and a reassuring voice—all from the comfort of your home.

PAAR’s  volunteers are the foundation of our agency.  Volunteers play an integral role in this community through their work on our 24-hour crisis hotline.
 

PAAR’s volunteer training program will enable you to:

• Master active listening skills
• Calm someone in crisis
• Understand the dynamics of rape

PAAR hotline  workers must complete a 40 hour sexual assault counseling training.  The majority of this training can now be done independently on-line. Contact us for more information.
